Italian Film Week with free screenings will take place in Hanoi

From October 27 to November 1, 2026, residents and visitors of Hanoi will be able to discover contemporary Italian cinema. The capital will host Italian Film Week, featuring free screenings of six films.

The program will bring together films that explore human nature, personal experiences, and relationships in a rapidly changing world. Through the stories of the characters, viewers will be invited to reflect on contemporary social issues, family ties, inner conflicts, and the search for one’s place in society.

Italian cinema is known for its attention to everyday life, the emotional depth of its characters, and its blend of dramatic and comedic elements. The films included in the program will offer an opportunity to discover different approaches Italian directors take in exploring these themes.

All six films will be available to watch free of charge. The event is intended both for fans of European cinema and for viewers who are just beginning to get acquainted with Italian culture.

Cultural initiatives like this help foster international cooperation and introduce Vietnamese audiences to foreign art. For foreigners living in Hanoi, the screenings may also be an interesting cultural leisure option.

Since seating at free events may be limited, visitors are advised to check the latest schedule, venue, subtitle availability, and whether advance registration is required.
