Free Vietnamese language courses for foreigners have opened in Nha Trang
Foreigners who live and work in Nha Trang can study Vietnamese for free in special classes organized by local resident Nguyen Khac Tien. The project has been running since April 2026 and helps foreigners overcome the language barrier and communicate more confidently with local residents.
Lessons are held three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 14:00 to 15:00. Classes take place at 88 Hoàng Hoa Thám, phường Nha Trang.
Currently, about 10 people are studying in the group. The small number of participants makes it possible to give more attention to each student, go over difficult points, and practice spoken language directly during the lessons.
The main emphasis is on the practical use of the language. Instead of memorizing large amounts of theory, participants train pronunciation, learn to understand spoken Vietnamese by ear, and master expressions needed for everyday communication.
The teacher corrects mistakes directly during conversation, helping students gradually get used to the особенностям of Vietnamese pronunciation and the tonal system of the language. If necessary, volunteers explain the material in English to make learning more accessible for beginners.
Such classes are especially useful for foreigners who plan to live in Vietnam for a long time. Even basic knowledge of the language helps with shopping independently, communicating with neighbors, using local services, and better understanding the country’s culture. The project also creates a space for communication between foreigners and local residents, allowing participants not only to study the language but also to become familiar with the особенностями of everyday life in Vietnam.
